What do you call an agnostic who is both dyslexic and an insomniac?
Someone who lays awake at night wondering if there is a doG. 😉
I was scheduled to have my final chemotherapy infusion tomorrow, but due to worsening neuropathy symptoms, my oncologist and I both felt it best to skip it. I am happy to be done with chemo, hopefully forever! What remains in my treatment now is nine months of IV Herceptin every three weeks to complete one year of that medicine and an oral hormone blocker to reduce my risk of cancer recurrence. I am grateful not to need radiation as well.
Thanks for praying!
Paula
“I tread no path in life to Him unknown,
I lift no burden, bear no pain, alone;
My soul a calm, sure hiding place has found:
The everlasting arms my life surround.”
– Robert Browning from “God, Thou Art Love“
I’m so ecstatic that the chemo phase is over. Now it’s time to regroup, regain and restore! I’m so proud of your strength, persistence, and power fighting this challenge! On to LIFE now!

Yay! Time to celebrate! Praying for the neuropathy symptoms to settle down and go away. Your poem reminds me of Ps 131 where David says, I have composed and quieted my soul. I looked up those two words and one of them has the meaning of “counter balance”. I like that picture. Distressing things pile up on one side of our life’s scale and we need to counter balance them by piling up God’s truth on the other side of the scale to keep our souls quieted within us. We’ve seen you do that through this time. Good job! Blessings to you.

Yes good words…paul the apostle begged three times from God to remove his malady… God said “My Grace is sufficient for thee”. May it be for you my younger sister in Christ! Hang in there! And Hang onto His promises!

Paula, I am so happy about your news! I still have one more “bad” chemo a week from this Tuesday and then I am done too, other than the Herceptin. God is great!! Bob and I still pray for you and your sweet family. Isn’t it a blessing to have the LORD while having to go through something like this?????
