Once You Choose Hope…

Hope. #quote:

Matthew 19:26 in various versions:

God can do all things.  Humanly speaking it is impossible; but with God anything is possible! No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.

“Nature is God’s workshop. The sky is his resume. The universe is his calling card. You want to know who God is? See what he has done. You want to know his power? Take a look at his creation. Curious about his strength? Pay a visit to his home address: 1 Billion Starry Sky Avenue.

He is untainted by the atmosphere of sin, unbridled by the time line of history, unhindered by the weariness of the body.

What controls you doesn’t control him. What troubles you doesn’t trouble him. What fatigues you doesn’t fatigue him. Is an eagle disturbed by traffic? No, he rises above it. Is the whale perturbed by a hurricane? Of course not, he plunges beneath it. Is the lion flustered by the mouse standing directly in his way? No, he steps over it.

How much more is God able to soar above, plunge beneath, and step over the troubles of the earth!”

—Max Lucado (The Great House of God)

My take-away:

NOTHING is too hard or impossible with God.  Nothing. My own strength and ability to handle dealing with cancer or any other concern I face is not the issue.  I will choose to hope in God and to rely completely upon Him.   I can do all things through Christ who gives me HIS strength.  He is not troubled, or fatigued, or disturbed by any problem I have.  I will place each of my cares in His Lap and crawl up there too while I’m at it and snuggle up and rest in His love and care for me personally.

Isaiah 40:31

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Gratefully His,

Paula

  1. Thinking of you on this beautiful Sunday. May God’s sunshine brighten you eyes and its warmth soak you to the bone and remind you of His warm live for you. Enjoy God’s gifts and then go after the Giver. God is working His unstoppable, wise and loving plan and will not stop until it is done. You are safe in His hands. Nita
