New Living Translation (NLT)
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.[a] Now we call him, “Abba, Father”
Amplified Bible (AMP)
15For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba Father!
As I understand it, Jesus spoke to the people in the common language of Aramaic. “Abba Father” in Aramaic translates to “Daddy” or “Papa”. He’s adopted me as His own beloved child. The incredibly powerful, wise, creator of the entire universe is also my “Dad”. Wow!
Lord, every single good gift comes from You…
439. Thank You my dear Heavenly Father that You are also my Abba Father, my Dad, my Papa, my Daddy…and I am Your child. I love You!
